An Introduction of the (Platform) Introduction Training

You want to learn a specific SAP SuccessFactors module. As you start exploring the details, you get to know the course has a prerequisite i.e. THR80. 


Looking at the contents of the course, you are still unsure what exactly you'll learn in the course as all of the terms are new to you. You want to know more. You ask google and it tells you it's taught through self-guided learning, check-in meetings, and hands-on exercises.

I am completely new to SAP SuccessFactors. Should I start with the SAP SuccessFactors Platform Introduction Academy Training?

It's better if you attend another course - An Introduction to Human Experience Management, available free of cost at open SAP, to first have an understanding of the context of SAP SuccessFactors Solutions. 


The next, highly recommended, course is HRSF1 - SAP SuccessFactors Overview, which enables learners with understanding various modules of the cloud HRIS, from HR processes perspective. 


After attending the above-mentioned courses, SFINTRO1 and HRSF1, you can start the THR80 training directly. 

What should I expect to learn if I attend the THR80 - SAP SuccessFactors Platform Introduction Academy Training? 

The course teaches a variety of concepts, from Technical Introduction of the HR Solution to its Configuration & Customization, as well as Secruity. It also introduces learners to various Tools used across modules, including Analytics, in addition to the System Administration. 

How much effort is required to understand all of the concepts presented in the course?

The course is structured in 8 Learning Units and 24 Lessons. It has a total of 40 exercises for your to practice your learning. 

It can be covered from 3 to 5 days, and is available in Virtual Classroom setting as well as within SAP Learning Hub - where it can be taken as E-Learning.


How can I access the course training material?

When you take the course, its content is assigned to your SAP Learning Hub account. Select the course to access the learning modules. 


What course I should take after completing the Platform training?

Any. Depending on your interest, in terms of HR processes, you can select any of the SuccessFactors modules, to learn and develop skills in. By taking THR80, you'll be well-equipped with the necessary knowledge to continue with any course.

How to add Custom Help Text on Job Requisition fields

  To help Recruiting Users, you can add help text on different fields of a Job Requisition.  The steps are very simple.  1. Go to Manage Recruiting Custom Help Text. You can use Action Search to reach to the page. You should have the necessary permissions.  2. Select the field, add text, and choose Save. 3. To test the help text, go to Recruiting and select any existing Job Requisition, or create a new one as shown in the first image. You should be able to see the text. Interesting feature, isn't it? Creating Live Slides using Presentations Feature

  Have you explored the Presentations Feature within SAP SuccessFactors ? It allows HR users creating LIVE slides out of Talent Data, without having a need to create & run a report and then to download & format data to use in a presentation.  Here are the steps: 1) Access the feature from the main navigation menu i.e. Home > Presentations .  2) Click on + icon on top right side of the Presentations screen.  3) Give your presentation a name and choose OK . 4) You may Hide Instructions by clicking on the link. 5) Click on the Presentation Menu on top right side of the screen, and choose an action, such as Add a Live Slide . 6) Select an option to create a live slide of your choice.  7) Enter a user name and select/deselect Include Matrix Reports , as requried.
