Learning the Learning Management System

The best thing about learning the LMS is you can relate all of your learning experiences to each of the topics covered within the THR88 course.

Want to know what to learn, and how? Well, here in this blog I have described the 'Learning Strategy' briefly.

The course is available in SAP Learning Hub and can be completed in 80 hours / 10 days.

Broadly, we can classify the content in following 4 categories;
  1. Roles: Admin, User, Supervisor, and Instructor
  2. Elements: Items, Curricula, and Programs etc.
  3. Processes: Content & Class Management, Assessments, and other
  4. System: Configuration, Customization, Security, and Integration
The course first introduces different Interfaces, such as of a typical learner.

Later on, it explains each of the elements, providing details, such as
  1. What it is? and
  2. How it can be configured?
  3. How it is used in learning context?
For example, searching an existing Item or creating a new one.

You also learn the day-to-day training activities, such as managing content and classes, or running Surveys.

At the advanced stage of the course, you learn how to configure & customize each of the above-mentioned (and more) processes, how to maintain system security or to integrate it with other systems.

The course is structured in 16 modules, and has a number of
  1. Videos, explaining each topic in detail,
  2. Exercises, to let you learn by doing,
  3. Books, for your further reading.
In terms of course content, most of the topics are covered within HR861 and HR862 courses, from Introduction to Advanced LMS Administration.

There are additional books and reading material too, to guide (to-be) Consultants on configuring LMS as well as integrating it with 3rd party systems.

Happy learning!
